For those that have purchased a universal mount to hold your older phone, hopefully it opens wide enough to hold your new device without a problem. You need to purchase a mount with a large expandable cradle. The HTC One M9 is fairly large so you can’t just buy any universal mount. I’m not aware of any custom mounts for the HTC One M9 so we are going to discuss universal mounts.
These are important measurements to keep in mind when selecting your mount. With a now common 5.0 inch diagonal screen this phone measures 5.69 x 2.74 x 0.38 inches (144.6 x 69.7 x 9.61 mm). This is one of the few phones I have seen with the Corning Gorilla Glass-4 which means scratch-resistant glass and potentially no need for a screen protector. Released with Android 5.1, it will also support Marshmallow 6.0.
